About
I wrote this song for my little niece, who was born on May 27, 2021.
Finding myself in a dual-language situation, I wrote two sets of lyrics, on in Polish and one in English.
The translation is somewhat appropriate, but the rhyme scheme and meter match exactly between the two languages.

Szczeka piesek na wróbelka
hau, hau, hau.
Kot na płotek hyc i woła
miau, miau, miau,
a więc piesek cicho siedzi
bo kotunio drży.
Nie chce żeby kotek się go
bał, bał, bał.
A wróbelek nieprzejęty
fru, fru, fru,
poleciał do lasu a tam
du, du, du,
dudek czubi się z bażantem,
deszczyk sobie mży,
a kukułka kuka ku ku
ku ku ku.
W lesie krasnoludek śpiewa
tra-la-la.
Drzewko się do niego śmieje
ha-ha-ha.
Pójdźmy prędko do krasnala
razem raz-dwa-trzy!
Może nam i pioseneczkę
da, da, da.
See the sprightly bunny rabbit
hop, hop, hop
From the hilly bottom to the
top, top, top,
All the while conversing with a
merry cricket too:
Friends who laugh so hard they cannot

See the silver seagull in the
sky, sky, sky.
How she loves to soar and glide and
fly, fly, fly
Higher than a kite across the
sky of cloudless blue.
So she flies from high to low to
high, high, high.
See the pretty flower; watch it
grow, grow, grow
Now that spring is here and there is
no more snow,
Smiling at the sun that to its
duties is so true
And the moon at night and stars that
